Paramed College is a private higher education institute that has introduced need-oriented academic programs keeping in view, the demand for trained manpower to supply in different industries, covering key drivers, workforce needs, and trends across sectors. The College is determined to maintain a congenial and stimulating academic environment and keep the campus free from all such activities detrimental to the acquisition of knowledge and learning.
Paramed College has come into existence in 1999 E.C in Southern Ethiopia Regional State (Previously, Southern Nation, Nationalities and People Regional State), in Arba Minch Town. It is established by distinguished and enthusiastic benevolent souls who profess genuine love for higher education. The noble objective of these people provides ample opportunities of learning to students both from urban and rural areas in the country at affordable expenses.
Currently the college encompasses education in diversified fields of study. In the Health sector (midwifery, nursing, public health, pharmacy, medical laboratory), in the Business sector (economics, management, accounting and finance), and in the Engineering sector (surveying engineering) subjects are available in regular, distance and continuing education programs and two postgraduate programs such as master of business administration (MBA) and master of public health (MPH) are held at the main campus, and technical, vocational education and training (TVET) programs are being given at the second campus(Tasew Adarge Campus) in the same town.
Paramed College is dedicated to ensuring that its students successfully pass the Exit Exam, which evaluates the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their program of study. The Graduate Admission Test (GAT), mandated by the Ministry of Education, is also highly regarded within our institution. Both the Exit Exam and the GAT were introduced in 2015 E.C. by the Ministry of Education.
